There is more than enough technology in the house but at Kraus Farms we try to keep occupied with different projects. It is really an amazing experience to create products from scratch with simple ingredients provided by nature. We are always striving to use the highest quality products and materials to achieve superior results.
How To Make Beeswax Lip Balm
In this video, we use the Beeswax we harvested this year along with equal parts Shea Butter and Coconut Oil. We heated all the ingredients in a hot water bath. Measured and poured them before mixing in 50 drops of peppermint oil and mixing well.
How to Make Maple Syrup
This is the basic process of making maple syrup in a fun video. We used the GoPro to film all the video. Both Charlise and Joel got to use the Go Pro head mount. We will learn to make it better in the future. This Maple Syrup taste fantastic pancakes and in our oatmeal.
How To Make Prosciutto
In this video Joel shows the process he followed to cure a ham leg into prosciutto. He used only kosher salt and no pink curing salt making it nitrate free.
How To Make Laundry Detergent
Charlise makes enough laundry detergent to last the whole year. It took about 15 minutes in total and cleans just as well or better as any major brand.
