Local honey from Kraus Farms. We have several beehives on the property. Initially what started out as just an idea to have a beehive became an important part of our entire farm. Of corse, we have been stung. Sure, there are things that we just don’t understand perfectly yet. But, Kraus’ Honey bees work hard to pollinate many of the fruit trees we have planted.
 
Did you know, a honey be only lives about 3 weeks and  can travel up to 2 miles from its hive. While the queen works hard to lay eggs and raise new bees, and the active hives have probably  70,000+ bees each working hard to make honey. As a result, we are able to harvest large quantities of honey each year. Its subtly sweet and delicious.
